Tree Facts and FAQ

Trees drop debris when I bring them into the house, how do you solve that?

Each tree is thoroughly shaken in a special machine to remove loose needles and debris before it is packaged and care is taken to make sure the trees are kept clean while they are being harvested and prepared for shipment.

Trees are hard to handle and get in the house.

The tree comes packaged in a box that makes handling much easier and allows the tree to be setup in the place you want it before the package is completely opened.

I always have trouble getting the tree in the stand and getting it straight.

You can order the pre-attached tree stand that is setup so that the tree is straight and you do not have to struggle with the mechanics of tree straightening.

What kind of a stand is the easiest to use?

The preinstalled stand has a rod that fits into a hole drilled into the base of the tree. Once you have this stand and order predrilled trees in the future, you only need to insert the stand rod into the tree base and the trees stands straight. It also has a reservoir for water to maintain the freshness of the tree.

How do I ensure the best freshness?

We do not pre-cut trees! Your tree is cut to order. This is one of the biggest pluses in buying a tree from us. Your tree is shipped within 24 hours of being cut. This means your tree can be setup in your house in 3 to 5 days from the time it was cut in our field, depending only on shipping time. Compare this to trees which are harvested and shipped by truck to local tree lots that maybe three weeks or more old. This means it smells better, looks better and lasts longer.

What is the best type of tree?

The best type of tree depends on what characteristics you prefer.
See our Tree Buyer's Guide page.

Will my tree dry out during shipping?

Our trees are shipped in moisture controlled boxes to ensure they do not dry out and the freshness is preserved. Many other trees are transported in bulk truck loads that can have drying effect on the tree. This can shorten the time the tree looks its best.
