Fresh trees are less expensive!

Artificial Christmas trees that look reasonably like a real tree are expensive. A fresh, real tree is a better choice economically. In addition, on average artificial Christmas trees are replaced every three years! So even over three years, the cost of a real tree is lower.

Environmentally Sound

Real trees are a natural product. They are a crop, just like corn or soybeans. They do not require irrigation. They are grown on farms here in the United States and cultivated in an environmentally safe and sustainable manner. And of course, they are 100% biodegradable. More trees are planted every year than are harvested, so the total population of Christmas trees is always increasing. Alternatively, artificial Christmas trees are made of plastic and other man made materials. Most artificial trees are imported from Asia.

Tree Recycling

Most municipalities have free curbside pickup of trees following the Christmas holiday. Check with your city or county offices. If not, you can always recycle it yourself at the nearest landscape recycling center.
